Cool in summer, warm on chilly spring days

Air conditioners for houses and flats. Usually installed in a day, without chasing walls where possible, with the outdoor unit placed so it does not bother the neighbours.

Process

Two weeks to a cool home

In a block of flats add time for the cooperative’s consent; we help prepare the request.

  1. Week 1

    Site visit

We look at the rooms, the sun exposure and where the outdoor unit can go. In a block of flats we help you write to the housing cooperative.

  2. Week 1

    Quote

Output matched to the room size and windows, one price including installation and the first service.

  3. Week 2

    Installed in a day

We drill with a vacuum attached and hide the pipes in trunking or in the wall.

  4. Every year

    Service

Cleaning filters and the heat exchanger, leak check. We call you when it is due.

Energy flow

One system, one flow of power

Panels produce during the day, the house takes what it needs and the heat pump and air conditioning use the surplus. Less power goes back to the grid for pennies.

  1. Sun

About 1,000 kWh from every kWp of panels a year on a south-facing roof.

  2. Solar PV

Turns light into electricity. The inverter makes sure the house uses it first.

  3. House

Uses power as it comes: fridge, washing machine, chargers. The surplus moves on instead of going to the grid for pennies.

  4. Heat pump

Turns 1 kWh of electricity into 3-4 kWh of heat for underfloor heating and hot water.

  5. Air conditioning

In summer it cools exactly when the panels produce the most. In winter it can add heat.

Questions

Air conditioning questions

Can an air conditioner heat?

Yes. A heat pump air conditioner heats more cheaply than an electric heater in spring and autumn. In frosty weather we treat it as an extra heat source.

How long does installation in a flat take?

One unit usually takes a few hours. Pipes and cables go in trunking or in the wall, and we drill with a vacuum attached.

Do I need the housing cooperative’s consent?

Usually yes, because the outdoor unit hangs on the facade or stands on the balcony. We help you write the request and match the location to the cooperative’s rules.

How often does it need servicing?

Once a year: cleaning the filters and heat exchanger and a leak check. We call you when it is due.

Grants

Air conditioning with solar: cooling from the sun

An air conditioner works hardest on sunny days, exactly when panels produce the most. If you are thinking about both, we will size them together; solar panels can currently be co-funded.

Free on-site audit

We will come over, look at the rooms and the place for the outdoor unit. No fees and no commitment; we will call you back to book a date.

Halny Energia is the data controller. We will use your details only to book the audit and delete them after 7 days if no contract is signed. Privacy policy
